A small, green-eyed unicorn that fades into the forest like a chameleon, rarely seen unless someone wantonly harms the wild places it watches over.
At 3-4 feet tall, it is the smallest of the unicorns. Its white coat and horn have a green tint, and its eyes are bright green.
Few people ever see a faerie steed, because at will it blends into its surroundings exactly as if wearing a cloak of elvenkind, and like a sylvan unicorn it moves silently through natural terrain. Once a day it can cast each of four spells: animal summoning I, II and III, plus charm person or mammal.
Its habits mirror a sylvan unicorn's, but its neutral nature keeps it aloof. It rarely attacks hunters or predators, yet pointless destruction of its land's plants and animals angers it, and brave defense of that land often earns its thanks. Worthy halflings, elves and other faerie folk of either sex may ride it.
Otherwise it lives like a sylvan unicorn. Roughly once a century it sheds its horn, growing a new one in 3-12 days. Elves treasure the old horns, which they crush into the dye for cloaks of elvenkind.
