The fairest and most artistic of the shadow fey, the shee charm with a kiss, curse with every arrow, and make attackers fumble before their blows ever land.
Shee are a little taller than humans but far lighter, slender and graceful, with pale hair, amber eyes and milk-white skin. Their flowing silks follow medieval or renaissance fashions and are always chosen for effect. A shee may become a bird for up to eight hours total each day, usually a nightingale or other songbird, or a swan for long journeys, but never an owl, raptor or carrion bird. Their voices are musical and gentle, and they never seem flustered or angry.
Shee avoid fighting. Pressed, they use slim rapiers and graceful bows that deal 1d8 and force a save vs. spell against a curse. A shee's kiss requires a save vs. spell or the recipient falls under a charm person that lasts until the shee lets go.
Anyone making a melee or missile attack (not a spell) against a shee saves vs. spell or is affected by fumble, checked before the attack roll. Shee cast enchantment/charm spells as 7th-level mages, and targets save at -2.
Only lead weapons or weapons of +1 or better hurt them; stone weapons, magical or not, and heat or fire do not. Direct sun burns them in bird or humanoid shape for 3 points per round, 3 points per turn under cloud. Infravision reaches 120 feet.
Though seen as singers and entertainers, the shee are actually the historians and loremasters of the fey, a duty they took up during the centuries their race served the sorcerer-fiend who once ruled them. Their lore gives a shee a 75% chance of knowing a fact or two about any person, place or object in the shadow realm or the neighboring lands. They dominate the Seelie Court, and the Faerie Queen herself is their princess.
A shee home lies at the heart of an oak grove, always brightly lit and finely furnished, filled with books and scrolls, and holding at least one instrument.
Shee love music, poetry and performance and often travel mortal lands collecting songs and tales. They like humans more than any other fey do, frequently take mortal lovers and have occasionally married them. A spellbinding storyteller may be carried back to their realm and made a changeling.
