A 60-foot sea crocodile, the only sea serpent that is certainly a reptile, which can swallow a swimmer whole in one bite.
The one sea serpent in a well-known seven-type survey that is surely a reptile, this is a crocodile about 60 feet long with flippers or webbed feet, prominent eyes and sometimes a fishlike tail fin. Its smooth-looking gray or reddish-brown skin keeps scattered scales that ring the body and raise a faint back crest.
Several animals may hide behind the reports. Flippered ones may be mosasaurs or short-necked plesiosaurs such as Kronosaurus, with similar statistics. Web-footed ones may be surviving Mesozoic sea crocodiles: use giant crocodile statistics with 1-2 appearing, no land movement, swim 18, 14 Hit Dice, THAC0 7, one bite for 7-28 that can swallow whole, size G (60 feet) and 8,000 XP.
It ranges across the tropics, favoring open ocean over coasts.
