Breathtaking, silver-haired elven women who become foxes, foxwomen charm a household of male servants, kill the ones they cannot use, and live only to indulge their own vanity.
A foxwoman looks like an elf woman and can become either a silver fox or a vixen, a silver-furred humanoid with a fox's head. In elven form she is dazzling, with silver or silver-streaked hair and a widow's peak, dressed in flattering loose clothes, a pouch at her side holding spell components and treasures. In vixen form she keeps the elven body and limbs under silvery fur, adds a fox's head and tail, may still wear clothes, and runs at 18. The silver fox looks like a large normal fox, moves at 24 and leaves no trail (as pass without trace); if it slips out of sight for a moment in undergrowth it is 90% impossible to find.
The fox's bite deals 1d2 and is otherwise harmless. The vixen's bite does 2d6, and any human or elven woman bitten for half or more of her hit points becomes a foxwoman within three days unless a priest of 12th level or higher casts both cure disease and remove curse on her.
In elven form she fights with weapons, gaining +1 with bow or sword, and has the spellcasting of a 1d4-level wizard. Her real weapon is beauty. Human, humanoid or demihuman males of Wisdom 13 or lower are effectively under a charm spell; wiser men (14 or more) keep their free will yet still find her enormously appealing. Sleep and charm magic fails against her 90% of the time.
In every form she has 60-foot infravision and takes harm only from silver or from magic weapons of at least +1. Scars from wounds that do not kill her disappear within a month.
Foxwomen live alone, as far as their own kind goes, in remote woods far from civilization, in hidden cottages or comfortable cave homes full of ordinary human luxuries. Vain, selfish and pleasure-seeking, they feed their egos by enslaving men as servants and companions. Halflings, gnomes and dwarves are never kept; such males are discreetly murdered at the first chance.
She is always attended by 1d4+1 charmed men. At least one is a level 1d4+1 warrior, a ranger 30% of the time and otherwise a fighter. Every other man has a 50% chance to be a 1d4-level fighter. Beyond those, roll 10%: on a success, one more servant holds a 1d4-level class: druid 45%, thief 25%, and cleric, mage or something else 10% each. One in four of the elves and half-elves in her retinue is multiclassed. Anyone left over is a 0-level fighter, an elf or half-elf of 1 Hit Die. Her servants keep and use whatever magic items they owned before being charmed.
Foxwomen cannot bear children, so they steal or adopt them. There is a 10% chance she has a 'daughter', an elf girl kidnapped and infected and now being raised as a foxwoman, aged 1d8+5. At 12-13 the girl counts as a full foxwoman; younger, she does not fight. A non-elven woman who catches this lycanthropy slowly changes into an elf over one to two years, keeping only her face and odd marks such as tattoos or birthmarks as hints of who she was.
No other lycanthrope is quite like them. Foxwomen have no ambition beyond self-indulgence and vanity, and they mostly ignore other foxwomen (rivals), real foxes (dull animals) and other lycanthropes (coarse, ugly and immune to their charms).
