Sythraxa [Cobrasaur Sorceress]

Sythraxa is a wicked cobrasaur, a serpent-folk witch once banished to another dimension. When a great meteor struck a ravaged primeval world and shuffled its continents, her prison broke. She lives in a realm of madness stretched across several dimensions, entered through a conduit in an ancient stone circle.

She fights with two claws, a tail slash and a venomous bite; the bitten save vs. poison (type E), taking 20 damage on a success and dying in agony on a failure. She casts as an 18th-level alteration specialist and has at-will powers besides. Her tail can become an adamantine spike hitting for 3-30, which a Dexterity check dodges at the price of losing initiative next round. Her gaze hypnotizes up to 10 people within 50 feet (save vs. spell at -4) or petrifies up to three within 20 feet (save vs. petrification at -3). Up to ten times a day she spits green venomous acid up to 100 feet, splashing a 20-foot radius for 15d10, halved by a save vs. breath weapon. She teleports at will without error.

Acid, poison and magical fire never harm her; normal fire and lightning do half damage.

Her worshipers are witches and sorcerers. Beside one of the few stone circles to survive the meteor, an old magical vortex, she built her mortal temple and opened a conduit to her true home, the extradimensional Fane of Unreason.
