A tiny wine-loving spirit of the tavern cellar, kin to leprechauns, that can turn every bottle in the room into a weapon when crossed or drunk.
Kin to leprechauns, a clurichaun haunts inn and tavern wine cellars, looking like a miniature elf in an innkeeper's clothes.
Cornered, it fights with daggers or similar small blades, but its real weapon is liquid. By telekinesis it controls as much as 10 gallons of fluid, usually wine, making bottles blast like a decanter of endless water. Twice a day it can produce water or wine as the create water spell, and once a day, when desperate, it can form a watery double made of wine instead of water.
A kindly one keeps taps snug so no wine is wasted; a wicked one drinks the cellar dry and ruins its host. Any clurichaun turns ugly when drunk, smashing bottles, spooking pets, and wrecking the place, and innkeepers have hired adventurers to evict them.
It lives on wine alone, any vintage, usually a bottle a week, though some are sots. It hoards nothing but always knows of riches, or at least rumors, and forgets to mention their fearsome guardians if bullied rather than asked nicely.
