Variant Behir

Found in deserts and volcanic plains, it has yellow-orange plated back scales and a fiery red belly. It has all of a normal behir's physical attacks, but breathes a 20-foot flame jet for 30 damage (half with a save vs. breath weapon) every 12 rounds.

Emerald above and coppery green below, it hunts rain forests, fights like its kin, and spits acid for 20 damage, half on a save, every eight rounds.

Hatchlings are 6 feet long with 3 HD; adults approach 40 feet and 12 HD after age 23. In year five a behir gains a 1-2 point squeeze plus six claws against any size of prey. It is adult at 10, squeezing for 1-4, and at 15 it adds trampling and butting and squeezes for 2-5.
