Undead Hulk

An undead hulk looks like an ordinary monster zombie made from a tunnel brute, and apart from being plainly dead it resembles a living brute in every way. It stinks of decay, and anyone within 10 feet can tell at once that it is undead.

It fights like its living kin, through raw force, with two claws and a savage bite. Unlike them it is utterly mindless, unable to plan, and follows its master's orders as well as it can with no regard for its own safety. The confusing gaze is gone: its eyes hold no power.

Against any foe smaller than itself, the hulk can attempt a bear hug. This needs two successful claw hits, which deal no damage themselves. The victim is then crushed against the hulk's bulk for 6d4 damage every following round with no attack roll needed. While hugging, the hulk can neither bite its captive nor attack anyone else. Clerics turn it as a special undead.

Hulks have no culture and are wholly ruled by their maker, serving their small lords without question. Web-eel slavers produce them through a strange ritual, whose details are left to the DM, that magically joins parts from dead tunnel brutes. Every piece, whether head, right arm, right leg or any other, must come from a different brute.

As magical constructs, undead hulks have no place in nature. They exist only to carry out orders until something destroys them.
