Earth-bound raiders of the continent's marshes and caves, fhoimoriens batter foes with doubled club blows, then dissolve into reeking green smoke to escape or strike from an unexpected angle.
The fhoimoriens share the elemental bond to earth that marks the continent's giants, and they love nothing better than raiding the lands around them. They roam lonely marshes and forests anywhere from the coast to the mountains, and some den in deep caves.
Clubs and other blunt weapons in their hands deal twice normal damage, and their great strength adds +8 to every melee hit. Every one of them has passwall, animate stone and stone tell, each usable once a day.
Two times a day a fhoimorien can turn into gaseous form, a stinking cloud of pale, blackish-green smoke. Most simply use it to flee a losing fight. Cleverer ones turn it into a tactic: pelting prey with boulders from the far side of a chasm and then drifting across without warning to finish the job, floating over deep rivers, or rising to a lofty rock spire to bombard those below.
Their warlocks wield minor elemental magic of earth and wind as 1st- to 4th-level wizards, favoring shocking grasp, gust of wind, stone fist and earthen grasp.
