Hand-sized, teddy-bear-like ice dwellers of the high peaks who live ten times faster than humans, carve glittering ice villages, and sometimes ride along with adventurers as lucky charms.
These tiny mountain brownies resemble shaggy, palm-sized teddy bears with big dark eyes and black, white or brown fur. Their own name and speech are too quick and shrill for outsiders; a few talk slowly in the winged elves' dialect, and larger humanoids need a hear noise roll to catch their words.
They dwell in ice caves atop the peaks around the winged elves' realm, in villages of several hundred carved from sparkling ice and guarded by horn-carrying patrols. Endlessly curious, some travel briefly with good adventurers, quickly learning their 'Big Folk' friends' tongue, and winged elves carry them for luck. A village holds at least treasure type A; individuals carry almost nothing.
Tyminids hunt them, and they hide in aeldar webs to escape. Living ten times faster than humanoids, they reach eight to ten years, which feels like a century. Mates pair for life and the survivor soon dies; a couple raises three to five young, twins being common.
