Air/Earth Elemental of Law

Two orderly elementals bent on cataloguing creation: a cottony, whirlwind-fast air being that flays agents of chaos with abrasive fibers, and a golden crystal star that impales foes on its spikes.

Elementals of Law

These intelligent natives of the four elemental planes devote themselves to upholding order at home and on the material world, though their methods vary enormously. Poison, normal weapons, and spells of 1st and 2nd level cannot hurt them, and all can use detect invisibility at will.

Anemo

Anemos hail from the plane of air and labor to wring order out of chaos. Each is a fluffy ball about 5 feet around, built of a precise mesh of off-white fibers, and so light that it performs astonishing aerial acrobatics.

An anemo readily attacks anyone who serves chaos. Its usual tactic is to spin into a whirlwind and scour enemies with countless gritty fibers, up to three attacks a round at 1d10 points of damage each.

Air-based attacks cannot harm it. It casts wind wall, solid fog, dispel magic and detect magic three times a day each at 9th level. Once a day it can also use control winds, cast at 15th level, and summon an aerial servant, which cannot attack the anemo. Earth-based attacks deal it +3 damage per die.

Anemos work closely together in an endless effort to classify everything that exists, and they are the likeliest elementals of law to turn up away from home. They hate creatures of chaos, above all the elementals of chaos and pyrophors most of all, and dislike invisible stalkers. Earth creatures and earth attacks frighten them.

Kryst

A kryst's body is quartzlike stone from the plane of earth, shaped into a cluster of 12 golden crystal spikes radiating from a core. It speaks by telepathy (120-foot range); if that goes badly, it politely switches to writing, scratching words with a spike tip.

A kryst fights only when it sees no better option, but then it is ferocious, ramming enemies with its long spikes up to three times a round for 1d12 points of damage per hit. Earth-based attacks cannot hurt it. At 9th level it casts transmute rock to mud, wall of stone, dispel magic and detect magic three times a day each, and stone tell once a day. Air-based attacks deal it double damage.

At home krysts keep an extensive, intricate society, living peacefully beside earth elementals and aiding them. They welcome visitors and hunger for knowledge of every kind. They wage an unending war against the hordes and count the hydrax as foes, though the two rarely meet. Every kryst fears air creatures and air attacks, though no single air race is its sworn enemy.
